Bank Reconciliation

Match every bank statement line to your ledger or cash book, see what is missing on each side, and download a reconciliation report.

Processed in your browser. Files never leave your device.

How it works

  1. Add your bank statement: a CSV or Excel export, or a PDF statement with selectable text.
  2. Add your books: the bank account ledger or cash book exported from Tally, Zoho Books, QuickBooks, Excel, or similar.
  3. Check the columns Structura picked for date, description, and amount (or withdrawals and deposits).
  4. Click Reconcile, review what is unmatched on each side, and download the report.

Reconcile a bank account without ticking lines by hand

Bank reconciliation means proving that your books and your bank agree, and explaining every difference: cheques not yet presented, deposits in transit, bank charges and interest you have not recorded, and plain mistakes. Done by hand, it is an afternoon of ticking lines on two printouts.

Structura matches the two lists for you in passes, from most to least certain:

  1. Exact: same amount on the same date
  2. Close dates: same amount within the number of days you allow, closest date first
  3. Split payments: one bank line equal to the sum of two or three book entries within the window, or the reverse, such as a marketplace payout recorded as separate sales

When two book entries could match the same bank line, the one with the closer date and the more similar description wins. What is left is your reconciliation list.

Signs and formats

Money into the bank counts as positive. Statements with separate withdrawal and deposit columns are handled automatically. If your books show payments as positive numbers, tick Flip sign for that side. Amounts such as 1,18,750.00, (1,250.00), and 500.00 Dr are understood, and dates can be day-first, month-first, or ISO.

Free use covers files up to 5 MB and 20,000 rows each; Structura Pro raises that to 25 MB and 100,000 rows and keeps unlimited saved column setups.

FAQ

Does my data get uploaded or stored?

No. Processing runs entirely in your browser. Structura does not upload your files for processing and does not keep file contents on a server. Closing the tab clears the in-memory copy.

Is processing private / local-only?

Yes for the tool’s job. Your files stay on the device. Optional Cloudflare Web Analytics may record page views and anonymous events such as tool runs and downloads, never file contents or file names.

How do I do a bank reconciliation in Excel?

Export your bank statement and your bank ledger, upload both here, and click Reconcile. Download the Excel report, which lists matched items and the unmatched items on each side that explain the difference.

Can I use a PDF bank statement?

Yes, if the PDF has selectable text (most downloaded statements do). Scanned statements need OCR, which this tool does not do. Check the extracted rows in the box before reconciling.

Does it work with Tally, Zoho Books, or QuickBooks exports?

Yes. Export the bank account ledger to Excel or CSV, then pick the date, narration, and amount or debit and credit columns.

What if one deposit covers several invoices?

Leave Find split payments on. A bank line that equals the sum of two or three book entries within the date window is matched as a group.

Is my bank statement uploaded anywhere?

No. Both files are read and matched in your browser and never leave your device.

Do I need an account?

No. All Structura tools are free to use without signup.
