CSV Import Validator

Catch the errors that make imports fail, see exactly which row and column is wrong, and download a fixed file.

Processed in your browser. Files never leave your device.

Your rule sets

Rule reference
  • required, unique, email, url, integer, number
  • boolean(TRUE/FALSE), date(YYYY-MM-DD) (also DD/MM/YYYY, MM/DD/YYYY)
  • oneof(active|draft|archived), min=0, max=100, minlength=2, maxlength=255
  • pattern=^[A-Z0-9-]+$ (put it last on the line)
  • @require-any: Email | Phone each row needs at least one; @strict warns about unexpected columns

How it works

  1. Paste or upload the file you plan to import (CSV, TSV, or Excel).
  2. Choose a template such as Shopify products or HubSpot contacts, or write your own rules.
  3. Validate to see every problem by spreadsheet row and column.
  4. Download the auto-fixed file, only the valid rows, or a report of rows to fix.

Fix import errors before the platform rejects your file

Import screens are bad at explaining failures. They stop at the first error, report a row number that does not match your spreadsheet, or quietly skip records. Structura checks the whole file against the rules for where it is going and lists every problem with the row number you see in Excel or Google Sheets.

It is built for store owners, marketers, and ops teams moving data between tools: product catalogues into Shopify, contact lists into HubSpot, product feeds into Google Merchant Center, or any export into an internal system. Your file stays in your browser.

What it checks

What it can fix automatically

Stray spaces, yes/no written as booleans, $14.00 in a number column, Active where active is expected, uppercase emails, and unambiguous dates in the wrong format. Anything it cannot fix safely is left as is and reported.

Worked example

The example Shopify file has a handle with a space and capitals, a negative price, an inventory quantity of ten, a status of live, and an image URL without https://. Those are reported as errors. The $14.00 price, yes, Active, and the trailing space in tote-bag are fixed automatically.

About the templates

Templates reflect each platform's documented import columns and limits at the time of writing. Platforms change their formats, so treat a template as a strong first check and confirm against the platform's current documentation for unusual fields. Save your own rule sets for recurring imports; they are stored only in your browser.

FAQ

Does my data get uploaded or stored?

No. Processing runs entirely in your browser. Structura does not upload your files for processing and does not keep file contents on a server. Closing the tab clears the in-memory copy.

Is processing private / local-only?

Yes for the tool’s job. Your files stay on the device. Optional Cloudflare Web Analytics may record page views and anonymous events such as tool runs and downloads, never file contents or file names.

How do I validate a Shopify product CSV?

Choose the Shopify products template, upload your CSV, and click Validate. Structura checks handles, prices, inventory quantities, TRUE/FALSE columns, status values, and image URLs, and can fix common formatting problems automatically.

Do row numbers match my spreadsheet?

Yes. The header is row 1, so the first data row is row 2, the same as in Excel and Google Sheets.

Can I save my own rules?

Yes. Edit the rules and click Save rules. Saved rule sets are stored in this browser only and are not uploaded anywhere.

Are column names case-sensitive?

No. "Email", "email", and "EMAIL" all match a rule written for Email.

Will auto-fix change my data unexpectedly?

Auto-fix only makes conversions that are unambiguous, such as yes to TRUE or $14.00 to 14.00. Turn the auto-fix options off to get a report without any changes.

Do I need an account?

No. All Structura tools are free to use without signup.
