From an API response to a spreadsheet

Opening JSON in Excel through Power Query works, but it takes several steps and expanding nested columns one by one. This converter does the flattening in one pass: every nested field becomes a column named by its path, such as customer.address.city.

The Excel file has a frozen header row. Plain numbers are stored as numbers so they sum and sort correctly, while values like ZIP codes and phone numbers with leading zeros stay as text.

FAQ

Does my data get uploaded or stored?

No. Processing runs entirely in your browser. Structura does not upload your files for processing and does not keep file contents on a server. Closing the tab clears the in-memory copy.

Is processing private / local-only?

Yes for the tool’s job. Your files stay on the device. Optional Cloudflare Web Analytics may record page views and anonymous events such as tool runs and downloads, never file contents or file names.

How do I open a JSON file in Excel?

Convert it here and click Download Excel. The .xlsx opens directly in Excel, Google Sheets, and Numbers.

What happens to nested arrays?

You choose: join them into one cell, create one row per item, or spread them into numbered columns.

Is my JSON uploaded?

No. The conversion runs in your browser, which makes it safe for API responses that contain customer data or tokens.
